Welcome to our Pre-School

Established in 1979, our pre-school is a cherished part of the community, operating within the local community centre. We are proud to be a parent committee-run facility, reflecting our commitment to involving families in the nurturing and education of their children. Our pre-school operates with convenient hours from 8 AM to 6 PM, 50 weeks of the year, providing flexible scheduling options to meet the varied needs of busy families.

Our Commitment to Excellence

We accept all forms of funding, ensuring accessible education for every child. Our team is composed of fully qualified and experienced staff dedicated to providing quality care and education. Our manager holds a Level 6 qualification in Early Years and Level 3 in Special Educational Needs Coordination (SENCO), while our deputies are qualified to Level 6 and Level 5 in Early Years, ensuring expert leadership and guidance.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is built around the philosophy that children learn best through play and curiosity. We embrace the seven areas of learning, ensuring a holistic approach to early childhood education. Our environment is designed to inspire and engage children, fostering a love for learning that will last a lifetime.

Our Facilities

Our pre-school features three well-equipped rooms within our Toddler Room and Pre-School Room, each designed to support the developmental stages of children aged 9 months to 4 years. We also have a generous garden space, offering ample opportunities for outdoor play and exploration.

Each room is thoughtfully designed and adapted to meet the diverse needs of children, ensuring a safe and engaging environment that promotes learning and development. Our home-inspired décor provides children with a sense of safety and fosters their creativity, while the furniture is designed at their scale for enhanced comfort and accessibility.

Play areas are equipped with age-appropriate toys and resources that encourage imaginative play and social interaction. Soft, cushioned flooring minimises the risk of injury during active play, and dedicated quiet corners provide a serene space for relaxation or focused activities.

Rooms are also organised into distinct zones, such as reading nooks filled with a variety of books, art stations stocked with craft supplies, and sensory areas featuring tactile materials. Each space is designed to cater to different interests and developmental stages, allowing children to explore, learn, and grow in a nurturing atmosphere. Additionally, careful consideration is given to safety features, ensuring that all elements within the room are child-proof and secure while still promoting independence and exploration.

Our Mission

Together we learn and play to develop happy, independent and confident children.
