Our Staff

At our organisation, we take immense pride in the dedication and commitment of our staff, all of whom are passionate about early childhood development. We strive to create a curious and nurturing environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive to their fullest potential. Our approach prioritises inclusion and equal opportunities for all children, emphasising the importance of appreciating and celebrating the rich diversity present within our community. We also actively promote British values, which further enriches the learning experience for our young learners.

We firmly believe that children derive the greatest benefits from early years education and care when there is a strong, collaborative partnership between parents and educational settings. As such, we are committed to actively supporting parents not only in their children's educational journeys but also in their own ongoing education and personal development. This partnership enhances the overall experience for our children and fosters a cohesive learning environment.

To ensure that we maintain the highest standards of care and education, we make it a priority to ensure that all our staff hold the appropriate qualifications and are fully trained in paediatric first aid. This commitment underlines our focus on creating a safe and supportive atmosphere for every child in our care.

Meet The Team

Nicola Timbrell

Pre-School Manager

I have been working at Pre-School since 2005. Prior to that, I completed a work experience placement here while earning my qualifications, including my Level 6 in Early Years and, more recently, my Level 3 in SENDCo. SEND has always been a passion of mine and I enjoy making a difference to families lives. My own children attended the setting before moving on to school and loved their extended family.

I became the manager in November 2023 and am proud to lead a dedicated team committed to providing high-quality childcare. I am also the named SENDCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead. However I share these roles with the deputies to provide the best quality care and service.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Pre-School soon!

Kiah Heard

Deputy Manager

I have been working at the Pre-School since 2014, having attended as a child myself. I returned for work experience before officially joining the team, where I completed my qualifications and achieved my Level 6 in Early Years.

I am one of the Deputy Managers and also the deputy SENDCO and deputy designated safeguarding.

As a parent of children who also attend this setting, I aim to establish trust with parents and caregivers by ensuring their children receive the best care possible.

Please feel free to ask me any questions!

Jess Wallace

Deputy Manager

Since 2016, I have been part of the Pre-School, beginning my journey as a placement student and now working towards my Level 6 qualification in early years education. I also have fond memories of attending this Pre-School as a child.

Currently, I hold the position of Deputy Manager, and I serve as the Deputy SENDCO and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead while working in the Pre-School room.

I have a genuine passion for working with children and am dedicated to creating an engaging learning experience that fosters a warm, home-like atmosphere for all who attend.
