Health and Illness

Our 'Sick Child Policy' has been developed with the primary goal of minimising the risk of infectious illnesses among the children in our care. We understand how important it is to maintain a healthy environment for everyone, and we rely on parents and carers to keep us informed if their child becomes unwell.

In the event that a child does become unwell during a session, our policy dictates that we will contact the parents or carers immediately. We will request that they come to collect their child as soon as possible. Alternatively, they may send a known carer who is over the age of 16 to collect the child on their behalf. This process is in place to ensure the rapid care and comfort of the unwell child while maintaining the health and safety of other children in our facility.

Here is a list of exclusion time frames that are required for various common infectious diseases. These guidelines are established to further protect the health of all children in our care and to help prevent the spread of illness within our setting.
